By competing at the highest level, the club aims to inspire a new generation of players and prove that Portugal can one day stand tall among the hockey elite.
A Pathway for Portuguese Talent
At the heart of HC Porto’s mission is its youth academy, a program designed to develop the next generation of Portuguese ice hockey stars. From the moment the club was established, the academy became a hub for young talent, offering world-class coaching and a clear pathway to success.
The ultimate goal is to see these young athletes continue their careers in top European leagues or even in North America. HC Porto dreams of the day when a Portuguese player, nurtured in Porto’s youth academy, will skate onto the ice in the NHL or represent Portugal on the world stage.
